How AxisBiotix-Ps works

the science

100 trillion microbes live in our bodies, mostly in our gut, playing an important role in our overall health and physiology, including skin health. Maintaining a healthy balance of gut bacteria is increasingly shown to be a crucial component for our well-being.

the product

AxisBiotix-Ps is a blend of natural and live bacteria that have been specifically selected to help support skin health. Each sachet contains approximately 4 billion live bacteria that target the gut microbiome, and by leveraging the gut-skin axis, support skin health.

the results

The AxisBiotix-Ps BRIGHT Consumer Study assessed the impact of AxisBiotix-Ps health dietary supplement on participants’ skin health.
Results and the reported experience of participants were hugely positive – see more below.

  • The Gut-Skin Axis

The gut-skin axis explains the connections and relationship between our skin and our gut. Collectively, they play an important role in our health and changes in our gut are increasingly being linked to the progression and severity of a number of skin conditions.

One of the main regulators of the gut-skin axis is the microbiota of bacteria that live in our gut and play a role in digestion. Research is increasingly linking this microbiota to our immune system, a healthy intestinal barrier and the absorption of metabolites. An imbalance in any of these can lead to changes in our skin. Maintaining a balanced gut microbiota is, therefore, vital for our skin’s health.

  • Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition which varies enormously from one person to the next. When someone has psoriasis, their skin replacement process speeds up. A process that should take around 28 days, instead completes in just a few days. This can result in the accumulation of skin cells which builds up to form raised plaques on the skin that are often flaky, scaly, red and itchy.

  • AxisBiotix-Ps

AxisBiotix-Ps is a blended gut-skin health supplement composed of natural bacteria. It has been scientifically designed to promote a healthy skin and in particular to help alleviate symptoms associated with conditions such as psoriasis. AxisBiotix-Ps comes in the form of a simple sachet, the contents of which are dissolved in water and taken on a daily basis as part of your normal routine to help care for your skin from within.

Insights

The Gut-Skin Axis

Gut bacteria have been shown to be key for digestion as well as immunity. Today, there is growing scientific evidence that there is also a strong connection between our gut microbiome and the health of our skin, often referred to as the gut-skin axis. This is also supported by the finding that many skin diseases are accompanied by an altered gut microbiome.

Therefore, maintaining a healthy balance of bacteria that regulate the gut-skin axis is vital for skin health and general well-being.

BRIGHT Study results

Over 72% of the participants with self-identified psoriasis who completed our study reported overall improvements to their skin, across four factors: itchiness, redness, less irritable and fewer flaky patches.

Participants also felt improvements to their general health, in terms of higher energy levels, better sleep and lifted mood.
